Massage for Riders
Massage For You!

Most rider/owners have particular issues, either from falls or accidents, or simply from having been around horses for years, and need just as much attention, sometimes more, than their horse!

I can bring my massage couch to your premises and work on you too!

Sometimes we conveniently forget that we need attention just as much, if not more so, than the horse. A good, strong massage for you will really help those aches and pains go away and bring you back into balance with an effective posture.

Go deeper! Experience some re-patterning and alignment work.

Riders know that their own body has a major influence on the horse when ridden and attention to restrictive holding patterns will have an equally profound effect on the horse's way of going. This may be done through the modality of massage to relieve pain and tension addressing current issues. But you may like to consider your longer term issues and chronic habits.

Jo offers rider bodywork programmes which include movement release exercises and techniques either as a one-to-one session or in a workshop format aswell as hands on techniques to alleviate pain and tension.

Good preparation if you want to learn to massage your own horse!

Understanding what a good massage feels like can be a highly valuable and insightful way of understanding how you want to touch your horse if you want to attend the 'Massage My Own Horse' Workshop. Plus it will also inform you as to how you would like to have a massage delivered to your horse. Jo is heavily against the idea of 'no pain, no gain' techniques and suggests a more subtle approach to bodywork and correcting tension patterns.
