Buqi Healing for Horses
Healing & Buqi For Horses

Buqi For HorsesBuqi is a Qigong based energy healing system which works with the subtle energy forces of the body. Buqi is a non-touch, vibrational healing therapy which is 'posture and breath' based and is a direct chinese medical qigong system. Buqi therapy undeniably enhances expression and movement in the horse and can alleviate stiffness and contraction in the body. Buqi affects the emotional system which is key to the body-mind connection.

Jo has been the major pioneer of Buqi for Horses having been taught by the founder of Buqi, Dr Shen Hongxun, since 1994. Jo has been practising professionally on horses since 2001 This work allows a very subtle system of engaging with another being's system with some exceptional results.

Single sessions are available for those in the local area of Guildford, Surrey or Ringwood, Hampshire and for those further afield but who are willing to incur time and travel costs. If you do live further afield you may want to combine a Buqi treatment for your horse with organising an 'Alignment Workshop' for you and friends and explore the energetic connection for yourselves together with improving your own posture, balance and alignment.

So what is Buqi?

Buqi is a non-contact energy healing therapy which concentrates on spinal health, the energy system and the interrelationships of the body, mind and emotions. Buqi treatment involves using energy forces that have been developed and understood through a specific and lengthy training of meditation, Taijiwuxigong and Taiji 37 forces (T'ai Chi) under the direct tutelage of Dr Shen Honqxun, a Chinese Grandmaster.

The Buqi Practitioner will have developed their own 'energy system' through a lengthy process of self-development which allows them to sense, feel and interact with the energy system of another; intelligent being upon intelligent being. The Practioner works with, what is described as, 'empty force' to bring about internal movement, to oppose contraction in the recipient and to clear 'binqi'.

Effects of Buqi
What better way to be able to assess some of the effects of Buqi for horses than by working on people! Cool

Not least because people can provide feedback in the form of words; they describe what they feel, the changes they have observed and the improvements that have been made.

The effects seen on horses is reliant upon the sensitivity and objectivity of the observer in noticing change and improvement. Buqi is a subtle form of therapy, which is the very thing that makes it as potent as it is, but which also means that it is difficult to describe or comprehend. However the horse makes lots of visible signs during the session and effects can be noticed in the following days.

"In my experience, real healing can be a complex process," says Jo. "The mind and body are so completely intertwined and working energetically allows one to connect where those two elements merge. As in people, the horse can be disconnected from the body for a number of reasons and only the system itself knows what needs to happen next".
